When deciding which type of downlight to choose from, you have 2 main choices: integrated or non-integrated. Non integrated downlights have a casing that holds your chosen lightbulb, and the lightbulb comes separately. This means that when the lightbulb blows, you can simply switch it out, which is much cheaper than replacing the entire light fitting. As well as this, non-integrated downlights are typically cheaper than their integrated equivalent.
