Megger DCM1500 AC/DC Solar Clamp Meter - 1005-572

The Megger DCM1500 is a 1500 A TRMS clamp meter that measures up to 1500A AC or DC and offers 750 VAC and 1000 VDC ranges, making it ideal for use in the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and monitoring of large AC or DC electrical systems and equipment. This can be used anywhere that requires the measuring of currents, volts, resistance and frequency. It uses True RMS to avoid errors that can occur when non-sinusodial waveforms created by today's complex loads are measured using traditional, average sensing clamp meters.

The DCM1500 is safety rated to IEC 61010-1 CAT IV 600V, and is drop-tested to 1.2m onto a hard floor. The tactile barrier below the jaws of the instrument ensure a safe working distance for the operators hand when measuring current on live uninsulated conductors, although additional protection must still be used. 

The device has a numeric display with large clear digits, accompanied by a high-resolution digital bar graph, which is useful for trending and indicating fluctuations in measurements.
